Jake Townsend

From a young age, Jake showed great interest in people and why they think the way they do. As he saw the work his Dad Matt did, he knew he wanted to be a part of it but he just had to forge his own path. He elected on the more traditional therapy path which he hopes will be a benefit to the clients at Townsend Relationship Center.

Jake has years of working at Townsend Relationship Center under his belt. He has assisted in work as Matt’s assistant/secretary, as well as in program management and content creation. Jake has an undergraduate degree from BYU in Human Development and a Masters degree from UNLV in Couple and Family Therapy.

In the new year Jake will be starting work as an associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Arcadia Counseling in Lehi in addition to his work at Townsend Relationship Center. Jake looks forward to integrating his therapy skills with his coaching skills in a way that enhances client wellbeing, as well as acknowledging and appreciating their differences.

Outside of TRC, Jake is a huge sports fan. He loves the Utah Jazz and the Utah Utes. He loves to listen to primarily non-fiction audiobooks and loves to learn about history, politics and psychology. He was married in Spring of 2022 and enjoys spending time with his wife, Paige.
