Can anyone attend Smart Life for Women?

Smart Life for Women is a life coaching program designed specifically for women and any woman can attend. Attendance only by women helps us achieve our goal of creating an open atmosphere for group discussions and sharing of women’s issues.

What is the cost for Smart Life?

Smart Life is held weekly and is only $15 per person each week for a 1 ½ hour class. We figure that if moms spend $10 to $20 a week for a child’s half hour music lesson, then $15 a week for 1 ½ hours of personal growth and development is a pretty good deal.

What time is the Smart Life workshop held?

Smart Life weekly workshops with Matt Townsend are held from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.

Is lunch served?

No, we do not serve lunch at the weekly workshops, but please feel free to bring a water bottle and snack to munch on during the Smart Life workshop.

Do I need to register?

No, you do not need to register. In order to simplify your already chaotic and ever-changing life you do not need to RSVP or register for Smart Life for Women. Just show up at the designated location a few minutes early and we’ll collect your $15 admission fee. Doors open 20 minutes before the scheduled class time.

Can organizations get a discount?

Many organizations choose to out-source their employee development and training to companies like the Townsend Relationship Center. To facilitate those needs, we offer group discounts if your organization wants to consistently send five or more female employees a week for the workshop. Call Tammy in our office at (801)747-2121 for more information and pricing.

Why do you hold the Smart Life program in the day when some women have to work?

We understand that the daytime schedule is not an ideal time for everyone involved however, in our experience, finding time in the evening for those who have worked all day is equally hard. We schedule the class so that working women might be able to take their lunch breaks during the scheduled time. The daytime schedule was also selected as it was the only time on Matt’s calendar that would ensure fewer scheduling interruptions.

Is there ever going to be a Smart Life for Men series?

Matt has found incredible value in working on specific issues for women and he would love to eventually create classes specifically for men. Our plan is to follow up with a Smart Life coaching program for men as soon as there is a large enough demand.

Are you going to hold Smart Life for Women in other cities?

We currently hold Smart Life for Women weekly in the Salt Lake Valley as well as occasionally in Tooele. Our goal is offer weekly programs in Ogden and Utah County as well as every other week in Park City and St. George, Utah. Please check Upcoming Topics for current dates, locations, and topics.

How do I get on the Smart Life for Women email list?

You can get on the email list to receive our weekly newsletter and information on other upcoming events by clicking on the “Sign Up for Our Newsletter” button on the homepage.

What if I miss a week? Will I feel too lost to attend the next week?

The format for the Smart Life for Women series is that each month we cover a broad topic. Every week of that month Matt will dive deeper into a specific aspect of the topic. Thus, throughout the month you will learn many aspects of each topic and how it relates to your life. If you miss one week, don’t let that keep you from attending the other weeks that Matt is teaching the topic. Each week will have a self-contained lesson that can apply to your life while still maintaining an overarching continuity within the monthly topic.
